Emotions in Parenting

With Zoom

In partnership with Parent Support Services Society of BC, we are pleased to offer Emotions in Parenting, a 1.5 hr workshop via Zoom.

Emotion regulation is an integral part of thriving children, with their parents and caregivers holding the key to this ability. How can we, as grown ups respond to the flood of emotions from our children when we are taking the heat from their behaviours? How can we co-regulate when we ourselves are feeling overwhelmed? And what can we do to start building our children’s emotional capacity and understanding of themselves and others?

My Tween & Me (Virtual)

With Zoom

In partnership with Parent Support Services Society of BC, we are excited to offer My Tween & Me: an 8-session parenting program. We will be exploring information and strategies around how parents and caregivers of children 7-12 years can strengthen their connection with their tween-aged children, and how to further enrich their parenting experience. My Tween & Me is a program developed by BC Council for Families.

Tantrums in Parenting

With Zoom

Join us as we explore how to navigate tantrums, meltdowns and outbursts, and how we can stay connected to our little ones through their big feelings. Together we will learn why children have tantrums, what is taking place developmentally, what happens in the brain, and what are they communicating through their behaviour. We will look at practical strategies of how to provide connection and support for our children (and for ourselves) during these challenging moments.

Tuning into Temperament

Zooming in , Canada

Workshop: Tuning into Temperament: Monday May 30th @ 10am

Every child has their own unique temperament. Learning how to tune into our child’s personality helps us to work with their specific traits and strengths, rather than in opposition to them. How do we support our “spirited and active” children with organizing their feelings? How do we create a sense of safety for our “cautious” little ones in new situations? Join us as we learn how our personality interplays with that of our child’s, and explore strategies in supporting their unique way of being.
