Every Child Matters

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We remember and honour the Indigenous Children stolen from their families and forced into residential schools where many lost their lives. We grieve with the Indigenous Nations and recognise that the impact of colonisation and the residential school system are on-going and prevalent in our society.

The Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island have always held deep wisdoms and teachings around family and community. On September 30, we can learn more about Orange Shirt Day, Truth and Reconciliation, and Indigenous Culture through multiple ceremonies and events held throughout the Lower Mainland. Check out the list below to see where you can go.
